Using Anna's Art

I have wrestled with this for many years. It is difficult to know what is the right thing to do. Since the site began I have allowed people to use my images on not for profit sites, as long as they gave me credit for the artwork and put a link back to my site.

It never seemed an unreasonable request. After all this is my work. Each drawing has taken time in my life, my training and my talent to make happen, as well as the efforts of the models to help me make the vision come to life. If you take it and use it without my consent and meeting my requirements you are not only stealing from me, you are disrespecting all the effort that went into these creations. On top of that you are also breaking the law, over the years I have had more than one website closed down for using my art without my permission.

At this time I will keep this a free feature of my website but please keep in mind this is a business. If you spend time here, enjoy the art and use it on your site, please also support the continuation of the art by spending your funds to further support my efforts by purchasing art.

Yes, I know it doesn’t go along with that whole bohemian image people have of artist. The reality is that I try and fit drawing in between doing laundry, clipping coupons, driving my kids and all the other things of running our home. And when all that is done, there is sewing to do, websites to build for other people it never ends. I am not complaining people but I don’t people really have a realistic view of what it is to be this artist and why it does matter that you show your support in positive ways. The only way I can spend more time on art is to the art be profitable.
